Croydon SDS will be celebrating Education Week during Monday 19 - Friday 23 May. Students will be engaging in a range of cultural learning experiences during the week to join in the theme, 'Celebration of Cultures'.
On Friday 23 May, students will participate in an African Oz Drum and Dance incursion. If you haven't yet completed the Compass event for this incursion, please consent via Compass online or the paper copy version. There is also a payment required, if you would like to use your CSEF, please the CSEF box on the form, or if you would like to use your School Saver Bonus funds, please let your classroom teacher know.
You are invited to join in the fun of this incursion. Primary students will be attending 1:30-2pm, and Secondary / Transition students between 2:15-2:45pm. Please let you child's classroom teacher know if you will be attending.
It was great to reflect on the 2024 school year at our Annual General Meeting last term. Staff and parents identified progress and achievement across many areas of our current School Strategic Plan. The plan has now been endorsed and has been made public on our school website; this can also be found on Compass under the School Documentation tab.
Students enjoyed visiting the Mother's Day Stall last week, looking at the beautiful gifts and making a choice of something to buy for their mum or special person. I'm sure the gifts were well received and put a smile your face at home.
A big thank you to Leanne and Bec for running this popular event, and for adding some thoughtful detail touches. The ladies wrapped and presented all gifts nicely, and made up love heart gift bags for everyone.
The stall collected $541.90. All money raised will go towards the purchase of new play equipment.
It's hard to believe that next week is week 5 already! this is when we have our SSG meetings each term. Teachers and students are preparing to meet with families and carers to share learning and growth throughout first semester. Please book in a meeting time with your classroom teacher through Compass Conferences, alternatively please speak to your child's teacher.
