Archie is our beloved school wellbeing dog, playing a big part in supporting the mental health and wellbeing of students and staff. He provides comfort, reduces anxiety, and helps create a calm and positive school environment. Archie is a friendly face in the yard, classrooms, and wellbeing spaces, where students can connect with him for a bit of extra support or a quiet moment. His presence encourages kindness, empathy, and connection across the school community.
Karoo is so lucky to have Archie, and we know he enjoys being part of our community. School days are the best days for Archie and for all of us!
The Attitudes to School Survey (AtoSS) is a DET survey conducted annually with Year 4, 5, and 6 students, gathering valuable insights into their school experiences. As we prioritise student voice, we use AtoSS data to monitor and enhance student engagement, wellbeing, and instructional quality from the students’ perspective. This feedback is crucial for informing our AIP targets and supports ongoing school improvement efforts.
This year, Karoo will conduct the survey during a normal class session between Monday 26th May and Friday 13th June. More information will be sent out via Compass.
To learn more about School Wide Behaviour Positive Support at Karoo we invite community members to attend our next Parents Educational Partnership Series to be held on Wednesday 21st May starting at 7.30pm. To register for this event please use the QR code located on the information poster or contact the office.
