Year 3&4 

This term, our Year 3 and 4 students have been diving into the exciting world of forces. As part of their investigations, they explored how push and pull forces come into play in the game of ten pin bowling. To deepen their understanding of different types of forces, students rotated through a variety of hands-on stations, experimenting with magnetic, air resistance, tension, gravitational, electrical, frictional, spring, and applied forces. One of the highlights this term was rolling cars down ramps at different heights to observe how the magnitude of forces changes with incline.

Year 5&6

The Year 5 and 6 students have been exploring the world of electricity. They’ve learned how to construct simple circuits to make a light bulb light up and discovered how switches control the flow of electricity by building circuits with three different types of switches. Students also learned how to draw circuit diagrams using the correct scientific symbols.
