EAL/D Resources on ACS portal

We’re pleased to let you know that EAL/D resources have now been centralised on the ACS MaLT portal for easier access. This includes all the necessary documentation required to apply for New Arrival Funding. We hope this streamlined approach supports your work and makes accessing key information more efficient.

TIS Interpreter Service

Earlier this year, we shared information about the Armidale Catholic Schools Interpreter Services, available to support effective communication with families from diverse linguistic backgrounds. We encourage you to make use of this valuable resource whenever needed, to ensure all families feel welcomed, informed, and actively engaged in their child’s learning journey. To make a booking, please follow the EAL/D tile (under Mission and Learning) on the ACS portal.

Sound Scouts now offers the option to test in Mandarin.

This update allows schools with a high number of native Mandarin speakers to test students in their first language, ensuring the results are accurate, particularly the speech in noise component of the Triple Factor Hearing Screener which can be impacted when students are multilingual.
