Year 4 Library Pen Pals

Our new Year 4 Library Group initiative has embarked on an exciting an author pen pal program with award-winning writer Pip Harry!

Students have been representing their class by corresponding with Pip via snail mail, sharing class input and responses, and engaging in rich literary discussions. This wonderful opportunity fosters a deeper love of reading, writing, and storytelling by building real-world connections with a published author.

We are thrilled to announce that we have already received our first letter from Pip — and she has generously donated several of her books to our library. Pop in to read a copy of her letter and find out some of Pip's favourite books and reading recommendations, read some writing prompts to inspire creativity and explore her creative process.

We look forward to the ideas, inspiration, and imagination this special connection will spark in our young readers and writers.

Pen Pals - a friendly reminder that your response letters are due on Thursday 14th May.
