Wear it Wild day

Our Wear it Wild day was a HUGE success. Thank you to all the students and staff who dressed up- you all looked fantastic! Thank you also to everyone who donated gold coins. All your donations big and small helped us to raise just over $540 to help endangered wildlife. A big thank you to the Sustainability Group leaders who helped to organise the event and help out on the day.

By raising over $540 we are now eligible to symbolically adopt a panda and will also receive a certificate from WWF for our participation. Hopefully we will have our new panda friend at the office soon and I’m sure Sir Flipper our sea turtle will love to have a new friend!

By participating in Wear it Wild day and Earth Hour at school we have also completed several actions in our Resource Smart Schools portal. ResourceSmart Schools is a free program offered by Sustainability Victoria that supports Victorian schools to embed sustainability across the school facilities, community and curriculum, while saving resources and money for the school. Currently, we are working on our ‘Waste’ and ‘Energy’ modules. When we complete all 5 modules we will become a Five Star Sustainable school.

Happy Easter break everyone! Enjoy these top tips from Sustainability Victoria for a sustainable Easter.
