Do it For Dolly Day 2026, which coincided with Gandhi House Day, was an outstanding success and a wonderful celebration of community spirit, connection, and awareness. Over 1000 students participated in a range of activities after lunch, creating an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm, laughter, and teamwork.

Students embraced a variety of old-fashioned games including egg and spoon races, wheelbarrow races, and the ever-popular “Rob the Nest.” The energy and excitement displayed throughout the afternoon highlighted the strong sense of house spirit and camaraderie within the Kildare community.

A major focus of the day was raising awareness about bullying and encouraging meaningful conversations around how we can continue to support one another. Students completed a survey reflecting on bullying at Kildare and shared thoughtful ideas about how the College can further improve support systems for students. These discussions were valuable in reinforcing the importance of kindness, inclusion, and standing up for others.

The fundraising efforts were equally impressive, with the College raising over $1000 for the Do It For Dolly Foundation through gold coin donations, as well as a hugely successful bake sale and sausage sizzle. The generosity shown by students, staff, and families was greatly appreciated and contributed to the overall success of the event.

Overall, the day was a fabulous occasion to be a part of and demonstrated the positive culture and community spirit that exists at Kildare. We look forward to making the event even bigger and better in 2027.
