Resource Centre

Term 2 has marked a welcome return to the Resource Centre. While the valued presence of Dr Cox is greatly missed, the Centre continues to provide a calm and welcoming environment where learners can borrow books and engage in study. The first few weeks of term have been particularly busy, with many learners stopping by to return their holiday reads and select a new book.
The space has also undergone a few tweaks, including the welcomed addition of Mr Mowett’s study music. The railway soundtrack has proven especially popular, while the calming background music and soothing visuals have contributed to an atmosphere that supports focus and concentration.
Our current display celebrates Star Wars, and the wider world of Science Fiction, in recognition of May the Fourth. A variety of Science Fiction novels are featured, encouraging students to broaden their reading choices and explore this exciting genre.
We are reminded of the importance of reading through the words of Yoda: "In a dark place we find ourselves, and a little more knowledge lights our way."
