Principal's Report

Harmony Week
As we begin Harmony Week, I want to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this important time in our school community. Harmony Week, which celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity, reminds us of the values of respect, inclusiveness, and belonging.
Our school is a vibrant tapestry of cultures, languages and traditions. Harmony Week is an opportunity for us all to come together to honour and appreciate this diversity. It is a time to celebrate the many contributions that people from all backgrounds make to our community, and to reinforce our commitment to creating a welcoming environment where everyone feels valued and respected.
During Harmony Week, we will engage in various activities that promote understanding and collaboration, including learning about different traditions and histories, and sharing stories that highlight our shared humanity. These experiences help build empathy, break down barriers and strengthen our sense of unity.
I encourage families to participate in discussions at home as well, fostering conversations about respect and kindness. Together, we can nurture a school culture that embraces diversity and prepares our students to be thoughtful, compassionate global citizens.
Thank you for your continued support in making our school a place where everyone belongs.
Thank You for Participating in 3-Way Conversations
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to all parents, carers and students who took part in our three-way conversations last week. These collaborative meetings are a vital part of our goal-setting process, allowing students, families and teachers to work together in setting meaningful learning goals and planning strategies for success.
Your active involvement demonstrates a strong commitment to your child’s growth and learning. These conversations help strengthen partnerships and ensure that every student is supported and encouraged to achieve their best.
We appreciate your time, thoughtful insights and encouragement. Together, we are creating a positive learning environment where every student has clear goals and a supportive team to help reach them.
If you were unable to attend, it's not too late. Please make contact with your child's teacher to make an appointment to discuss goal setting for your child. We welcome and value your input.
Important Notice: NAPLAN Test Disruption
As you might be aware there was an unexpected disruption to NAPLAN writing assessments for Years 5, 7 and 9, that affected some of the test sessions. We understand that this may have caused concern for students and families, however, this was not the case for our school.
Please be assured that if there were any problems, the school has taken immediate steps to manage the situation and minimise any impact on students. Affected students have been given additional time or rescheduled sessions where necessary to ensure they can complete their assessments in a calm and supportive environment.
We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to prioritise student well-being throughout the testing period. If you have any questions or would like further information, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
