School Swimming Trials 

On Wednesday 11th Feb, we will be conducting our School Swimming Trials for students who are interested in representing our school at the Ringwood District Swimming Carnival on Monday 23rd Feb.

Who can participate: The trials are open to Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 students.

When & Where: Aquanation, Ringwood from 2–3:00pm

Students will trial in the following age groups:

• 9/10 years
• 11 years
• 12/13 years (Boys and girls will trial separately)

Qualifying Requirements:

In the first phase of qualification, students must be able to swim the following strokes correctly and within or close to the qualifying times below:

• 50m Freestyle – approx. 60 seconds
• 50m Backstroke – approx. 65 seconds
• 50m Breaststroke – approx. 70 seconds
• 50m Butterfly – approx. 70 seconds

If your child is a competent swimmer and can meet or closely match these times, they are eligible to attend the School Swimming Trials.

Additional Information:

• A small cost will apply to cover lane hire.
• Full event details and consent can be found on Compass.
• Parents are required to transport their child to and from Aquanation on the day.
