Welcome back to the 2026 school year!

Our Year 3/4 students have made a wonderful start to the term, settling into their new spaces with ease. We’ve spent these opening weeks focusing on connection through team challenges and games, helping everyone get to know their classmates and teachers. Students have already taken ownership of their environment by collaborating on our classroom library and workspace layout. To ensure a positive year ahead, we’ve also been busy crafting our Class Agreements, focusing on wellbeing and how we can best support one another’s learning.

Class Totem

At TPS, each class has its own totem. In 3/4B, we have officially adopted Darebin (the swallow) as our class totem. First, students observed these graceful creatures and their movements in the wild through video studies.  Then they created unique, artistic versions of the Darebin to represent their own strengths and stories. We will display these artworks in our classroom as a powerful reminder of our individual identities and our shared bond as a class. These totems serve as a beautiful bridge between our learning and the environment around us.

Build the Tallest Tower

Students were challenged to build the tallest tower only using; cardboard, blu-tac and scissors. They were encouraged to discuss their ideas and plan how they would achieve their goal. It was a difficult task; however students were able to work together, persevere and generally showed great resilience throughout the task!
