F/1S have had a wonderful start to the year. They have been settling into our days like curious little explorers, discovering the rhythms of the classroom together.

Our first Form Drawing Main Lesson follows the story of ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go!’ with students following lines and shapes, their bodies and crayons moving with focus and delight.

Through creative play, the room has come alive with stories, friendships, and imaginations at work, while painting, beeswax, drawing and clay have been calm and colourful.

Out in the garden, the children have explored nature play, watered the thirsty plants and sorted seeds with great care, learning to notice the living world around them.

We have been enjoying learning maths games as numbers connect through movement, play, and joy. These first weeks have been full of wonder, gentle learning, and a growing sense of belonging.

FS have spent their first few days of school exploring the school grounds and getting into the rhythm and routine of coming to school. The building works have been of great interest and has meant our visits to the bathroom can take quite a while!

In our morning circle songs, we have been singing songs about the waves and fish in the ocean connecting the children to the summer season and what many may have experienced in the holidays. The children have also been exploring materials in their play and getting to know their specialist teachers and each other.
