Welcome Back to 2026
Welcome back to the new school year at RGLPS! We hope all families enjoyed a restful and refreshing break. As we begin 2026, we are excited to reconnect with our students and community and to continue building a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment together.
Celebrating Student Leadership
Leadership badges will be presented at a school assembly once they arrive and families are asked to keep an eye out for a confirmed date. This will be a special opportunity to acknowledge the responsibility, voice and service our student leaders bring to our school. We look forward to celebrating their commitment to the RGLPS community together.
RGLPS Behaviour Expectations Matrix
This year, we are launching our updated RGLPS Behaviour Expectations Matrix, which clearly outlines our whole-school values and what they look like in action across different settings. These expectations apply to everyone in our community—students, staff and families—and support us to create consistent, respectful and safe learning spaces for all. You’ll see these values explicitly taught, modelled and reinforced throughout the year.
Whole-School Routines
Consistent routines help students feel safe, calm and ready to learn. Across the school, we explicitly teach and practise our shared routines. The following routines are a key focus, with additional routines to come:
- LISTEN
- FLUSH
These routines support predictability, independence and smooth transitions throughout the day.
Gotcha Cards – Celebrating Positive Behaviour
Our Gotcha Cards are back for 2026! Gotcha Cards recognise and celebrate students who demonstrate our school values in action. This year, we will be keeping a running total of Gotcha Cards across the whole school. Together, we will work towards a shared goal—and when we reach it, we will celebrate as a whole school community with a special celebration.
