Specialist Subjects

OASIS - Matt Butcher
Students will be introduced to how living things interact with each other and how they can be classified.
Art - Carmel Fitzgerald
The Year Fours will explore how artists express ideas and use materials, shape and colour techniques in artworks from a range of places and times. Students plan and make art pieces that are inspired by artworks they view and discuss.
Music – Kiara Cameron
Students will be learning to play the recorder. They will use this skill to build their capacity when reading, writing and playing music using traditional notation.
Science – Lisa Ryan
Students learn about motion, in terms of speed and direction. They describe how forces, such as friction and gravity, affect the motion of an object and investigate how the properties of a surface can also affect the motion of an object.
PE - Danielle Coates & Class Teachers
Our PE program will begin with swimming lessons, followed by our school swimming sports. Students will then revise the fundamental movement skills of throwing and catching, before moving on to the term’s focus: the forehand strike. This skill will be applied through net and wall games, such as tennis and bat tennis. Students will also prepare for and participate in the school cross country.
