Years 3 - 5

During our first two weeks back at school, we have enjoyed easing into learning while focusing on building a positive class culture and getting to know one another. Students have taken part in a range of games and activities designed to encourage collaboration and connection, as well as decorated items for our classroom including an“All About Me” posters to share more about themselves.

We have also explored art through our 'name art' project linked to our classroom theme, with student names bordered by native Australian flora. In writing, students have been recounting their school holidays and creating imaginative stories inspired by the book 'Family Disasters: Crash Landing', where a family holiday goes wrong. It's been lovely to see the students creativity and imagination in action across both their writing and artwork.

It has been wonderful getting to know the students and beginning to build our class community. I have been very impressed with how well they have settled into the new school year, embracing new routines, learning, and the changes that come with a new teacher.
