Commissioning Mass and the Feast of Saint Brigid

We would like to invite you to join us in prayer for our first school Mass next Friday, 6 February at 9:00am in the Church.

The theme of the Mass will be to “Share the Light of Jesus.” As a school community, we would like to celebrate sharing the light of Jesus throughout our new school year. We know how important it is to live our faith and follow Jesus’ examples and teachings. Each of us can share the light of Jesus every day. Each of us can make a difference by how we treat each other. When we are kind to each other, using kind actions and words, the light of Jesus within us shines for others to see. No matter who we are, we can all work together to share the light of Jesus.

Next Friday, we will join as a school community to pray that the Holy Spirit will bless us and be with us as we journey together into a new school year. We will welcome teachers, students and families who are new to our school and pray that they may grow in strength and gentleness during their time with us.

During our Mass, we will be commissioning our new school leaders, as well as acknowledging our patron saint, Saint Brigid, who was a woman of faith living for others. Throughout 2026, we will strive to follow her example, to live the Gospel in these changing times and to respect and defend the human dignity of all those we meet.
