Sports Days and Uniforms
Classroom teachers have chosen the following days for students to wear sports uniforms. Wearing sports uniform during the week allows students to feel comfortable to move during sports lessons with Mrs Gibbs, class sport and gymnastics. These lessons will begin next week. Please email the class teacher or office if you have any questions.

Creating New School Routines
The new school is exciting, exhausting, and can be a great opportunity to create new positive routines with your child. Here are some ideas that may assist.
Morning Routine (Set the Day Up for Success)
- Wake-up time: Keep it consistent, even on weekends.
- Get ready checklist: Wash face, brush teeth, get dressed, make bed.
- Breakfast: Nutritious and quick (overnight oats, fruit, toast with protein).
- School prep: Pack bag, check homework, lunchbox ready.
- Positive send-off: A quick hug, affirmation, or “today’s goal” chat.
2. After-School Routine (Wind Down & Recharge)
- Snack & chat: Healthy snack + 10 minutes to talk about their day.
- Homework time: Same time each day, in a quiet, well-lit spot.
- Play or activity: Outdoor play, sports, or creative time.
- Chores: Age-appropriate tasks (set table, feed pets, tidy room).
3. Evening Routine (Calm & Prepare for Tomorrow)
- Dinner together: Share highlights and challenges of the day.
- Prep for next day: Lay out clothes, pack bag, sign school notes.
- Screen-free wind-down: Reading, puzzles, or quiet play.
- Bedtime: Consistent lights-out time for enough sleep (9–11 hrs for school-age kids).
💡 Tips for Parents
- Use visual charts for younger kids — pictures of each step help them follow along.
- Keep routines predictable but flexible for special events or changes.
- Involve your child in planning — they’re more likely to follow routines they helped create.
- Celebrate small wins — stickers, praise, or extra story time.
Please remember that if you have issues getting your child ready or to school in the morning, please contact your class teacher or myself. We have some extra strategies that may assist.
Student Use of Digital Services - Student Agreements
As part of the CSBB E Learning Policy for students, all students K-6 must be aware of and sign an agreement that lists safe and appropriate use of digital devices and online platforms. Parents no longer have to sign these agreements however having a conversation with your child about the rules below will help support us in our management of these ever-changing technologies. Safe and appropriate use of technology is part of our school expectations for all students and students may lose technology privileges if there is misuse.
Have a lovely weekend
