Italian Exchange Student at Trinity
Buongiorno, Trinity Community!
Please join us in extending a warm Trinity welcome to Leonardo, our Italian exchange student from Florence.
Leonardo will be attending Trinity College for five weeks during Term 3 and will be hosted by Benjamin Leahy (Year 11) and his family. We are very grateful to the Leahy family for their generosity in supporting this valuable cultural exchange program.
Leonardo is a friendly, polite, and adventurous young man who is keen to improve his English and experience Australian school and family life. During the school holidays, Ben and his family are looking forward to introducing him to some of Perth’s iconic attractions and helping him settle into his new surroundings.
If you see Leonardo around the College or in your classes, please make him feel welcome with a friendly smile and perhaps a cheerful “Buongiorno!” or “Benvenuto!”
Thank you for helping us ensure that Leonardo enjoys a memorable and rewarding experience at Trinity and in Australia.
Students interested in participating in the Italian Exchange Program in the future are encouraged to contact Prof. Favotto for further information.

Join the TC Parent Council
Submit an Expression of Interest
The Trinity College Parent Council (TCPC) calls for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from current parents willing to be involved on the Council.
The TCPC enables parents of current students to engage in and support school activities with the view of enhancing the community experience at the College. They achieve this by providing support and advice to the College Leadership Team in relation to areas of parental support. Additionally, the TCPC, in collaboration with the school, helps manage social events for the College community, including the annual Parent Ball.
The TCPC is looking to fill member positions for upcoming vacancies, with all incoming positions being for a three-year term, as standard under the TCPC Terms of Reference. While nominations are welcomed from all current parents, the TCPC particularly encourages nominations from:
parents with sons in Years 8, 9 or 10; and/or,
persons with skills in hospitality, marketing, and/or event support; and/or,
persons with a keen interest in supporting the organisation of the Parent Ball.
Any parent who is interested is asked to submit a brief EOI (one page maximum) addressed to the TCPC Chairperson (Mrs Bernie Dimanlig-Rankin), telling the TCPC a little bit about yourself, why you are interested in being involved and any skills, talents or ideas you could bring to the TCPC.
Please email your expression of interest to tcparentcouncil@gmail.com by 3.00pm on Monday, 6 July. The TCPC will welcome new members at the TCPC Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, 8 September.

MRC Gnome and Succulent Garden
The MRC is developing a new succulent garden and veggie patch, and we’re calling on our school community to get involved. If you have any spare succulents or cuttings, we would really appreciate your donations. We’re also adding some character to the space, so if you have a garden gnome to spare, we’d love that too!
This project supports hands-on learning, responsibility, and student wellbeing, while creating a space our students can be proud of. Thank you for helping us build something special together. Please drop any donations to the MRC.

An Ideal Opportunity to Support the College
Before 30 June
As the end of the financial year approaches, there is a timely opportunity to support the College while also accessing the benefit of a tax‑deductible contribution.
The College is fortunate to operate two Australian Taxation Office–approved Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) funds. These funds are strictly maintained to support key areas of need within our community. Links to the donations’ website are included below.
Building Fund – supporting the ongoing development and improvement of College facilities
Bursary and Scholarship Fund – providing assistance to students in need with tuition fees and associated costs
Donations made to either of these funds are fully tax deductible for the donor.
While the College is always grateful for the generosity of our community throughout the year, contributions made before 30 June can be included in your 2025/2026 tax return, offering an additional incentive to give at this time.
Whether you feel called to help enhance the College’s learning environment through facility development, or to make a meaningful difference in the life of a student by easing financial barriers to education, your support will have a lasting impact.
Every contribution, large or small, is sincerely appreciated and directly benefits our students and broader College community.
Please note: This information is general in nature and does not constitute tax advice. You should consider your personal circumstances or seek professional advice before making a donation.
