Year 9 Commerce Market Day raises over $1,000 for Zonta International
Our Year 9 & 10 ‘Promote your Business’ Commerce students recently held a successful Market Day, featuring 10 stalls selling a delicious variety of sweets and snacks. The event was the culmination of a semester of learning about business, advertising and promotional techniques. Market Day provided students with an exciting opportunity to put their business and entrepreneurial skills into practice while raising money for a worthy cause.
Students worked in small group to plan, promote and operate their stalls, attracting plenty of interest from the school community. The event was a great success, raising over $1,000 for Zonta International. Zonta International is a member-based human rights organisation focused on advocacy and service, working to build a better world for women and girls. The funds raised by the Year 9 students will support Zonta’s important work and mission.
Congratulations to all Year 9 Commerce students for their enthusiasm, teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit in making Market Day such a successful event!
