Director of Co-curricular
The College is happy to announce the appointment of Mr Adam Watson as Director of Co-curricular at St Patrick’s College. He currently serves as Director of Sport – Operations at Barker College, where he oversees a complex, co-educational sport program involving over 2,000 students, 300 coaches and a large multidisciplinary leadership team. His work currently has him involved with both the Combined Associated Schools (CAS) and Independent Sporting Association (ISA) competitions.
Mr Watson brings over a decade of experience in teaching and school leadership within the independent education sector. His career has been defined by a deep commitment to student development through programs that build character, resilience and belonging.
Mr Watson is a proud Catholic educator with a passion for Religious Education. Prior to his current role, he served on the staff at Oakhill College for six years and taught both Studies of Religion and PDHPE up to Stage 6.
His connection to St Patrick’s College began during his own school days as a junior cricketer and rugby player. His long-standing engagement with the College, including through interschool sporting fixtures and professional collaboration, has shaped a strong appreciation for its values, culture and community spirit.
Mr Watson is an experienced teacher accredited by AISNSW. He holds a Bachelor of Human Movement, Bachelor of Teaching (Secondary Education), Graduate Certificate in Religious Education and a Master of Educational Leadership. He is currently undertaking doctoral research at the University of Sydney, focusing on Positive Youth Development through independent school sport.
Throughout his career, Mr Watson has led large co-curricular programs with a focus on excellence, inclusivity and holistic student growth. He has contributed to service learning, pastoral care, spiritual formation and numerous domestic and international tours. His leadership is underpinned by sound operational expertise, strategic vision and a clear commitment to wellbeing and community.
