Tennis Snapshot

Term 2 served up some great tennis action, starting with our UTR Tournament, where students competed after school over two weeks, showcasing impressive skills and sportsmanship.

Winners:

• Division 1: Thien Le (Winner), Daniel Hardy (Runner-Up), Josh Kang (Consolation)
• Division 2: Dilki De Silva (Winner), Haru Kwok (Runner-Up), Ben Eshkevari (Consolation)

We were proud to see Lincoln Duckett, Trevor Eastwood, and Karin Hiramatsu represent WA in the Pizzey Cup State Team, with a huge congratulations to Lincoln who was named in the All Australian team - one of only 10 boys selected nationwide and the only boy from WA!

In Week 8, Knox Treasure, Isabelle Chiew, and Karin Hiramatsu will also do WA proud, competing for WA in the State Teams Event in Queensland.

Across the WA Day long weekend, many students played in local tournaments, continuing to impress with their dedication and results.

In Week 7, Tennis West ran a fun and engaging United Cup Ball Kid Training session for Years 7–9, preparing them for the 2026 ball kid trials.

We’ll wrap up the term with fitness testing and our popular Mixed Doubles Social Event on Thursday of Week 9. Students can sign up on the gym foyer wall—there’ll be prizes and a sausage sizzle to celebrate!
