Student-Led Conferences – Term 3, Week 8
Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September
We are pleased to announce that our Student-Led Conferences will take place in Week 8 of Term 3, on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th September.
Attendance at these conferences is compulsory and will count towards student attendance records. We see these meetings as an essential part of each student’s learning journey and a valuable opportunity for students, families and teachers to connect.
Senior Students – Years 10, 11 and 12
Senior students will continue with the usual format of student-led interviews with their subject teachers. These conversations will allow students to discuss their learning progress, achievements and areas of focus for the remainder of the year.
Junior Students – Years 7, 8 and 9
This year, we are excited to introduce a new format for Junior Years. Students in Years 7, 8 and 9 will present their Learning Portfolios in a meeting with their Connect teacher (or another significant teacher) and their family.
In these presentations, students will:
- Showcase examples of their work across all subjects
- Reflect on their learning growth and achievements
- Share personal goals and learning experiences
To support this deeper reflection, interview times will be extended, and each student will only be required to attend one conference session with their teacher and family.
Booking Details
Further information about how to book conference times will be provided in mid Term 3, including details about available time slots and confirmation of session times.
We look forward to welcoming students and families to this important event. These conferences provide a meaningful space for students to take ownership of their learning and to celebrate their progress with those who support them most.
