Year 9

Community Service

On Wednesday 21st May, the Year 9 Community Service class went over to the Kindergarten to watch the Echidna kids rehearsals for their upcoming concert. The students were the audience and got to join in for sections as well. Following this, we were able to clean up the Kinder shed to make it more usable and accessible.

Try a Career Day

On May 26th, our Year 9's attended South West TAFE's Try a Career Day.

Hosted at the Sherwood Park Campus, our students chose from several areas of interest including Automotive, Health and Community Services, Hospitality, Agriculture, Building and Engineering.

These are the VET courses that are made available to Secondary School students. King's College students in the VCE and VCE VM program can elect to participate in VET in Year 11 and 12. These courses contribute to their VCE.

While Charlie P (pictured driving) seemed to master the virtual Tractor driving, it is best not to ask Matthew P about his Header driving skills.

VCE Outdoor Education

This week on Tuesday 27th May, students in VCE Outdoor Education went on a day trip to Forrest in the Otways. At Forrest we battled the cold and wet weather while mountain biking on Victoria's premier mountain bike trails. Students had a fantastic time and were able to test their skills in some wet conditions.
