Dear Parents,

Yesterday we had the Panthers Rugby League Academy visit our school to host coaching clinics for our children in Years 1-6. The children had a terrific time involved in a host of games and skill based drills. Well done to our children on their participation and thank you to Ms Puebla and Ms Lloyd for their coordination of the visit.

Our children were so excited about the Panthers visit. Below are some quotes from our children;

“It was good to work with the experienced Panthers coaches. I loved all of the activities that I participated in” - Stage 3 student

"I enjoyed that we got to see coaches from the club, and I was grateful to be part of it. My favourite activity was when people were trying to score, but my team was defending the try line. It was very special to see the trophy and have my photo taken with it” - Stage 3 student

“I love footy and I think it’s great Panthers came to Bathurst Public School. That’s pretty special” - Stage 3 student

“I liked getting to play all the different games, like Touch Football. I also liked getting to kick the ball against the post and winning a prize” - Stage 3 student

“I can’t believe we got to stand so close to the trophy!” - Stage 3 student

“It was fun, there were lots of different activities, and it was great to see some of the Panthers coaches there. The trophy was cool!” - Stage 3 student

“We got to have fun with our friends, and we got to meet some of the Panthers coaches” - Stage 2 student

“The Panthers visit was good because the games were fun and the people helping were nice” - Stage 1 student

“My class cheered in our Welcome Circle when they heard it was the Panthers visit today” - Stage 1 teacher

Last week, Cruz Fischbeck and Harvey Glasgow travelled to Minto to represent Western Region at the NSW PSSA Basketball Championships. It was a tough competition against some very talented, and tall players from around the state! Western won 1 game and played very well even if the score wasn't on their side. Well done to both Cruz and Harvey!

Congratulations to three of our students who travelled to Dubbo to attend the Western Soccer Trials. Hunter Weal, Grace Moulds and Adam Abdulla were a part of two very competitive Bathurst District Teams. Well done to you all.

Due to the wet weather today, we postponed the ’Daffodil Delights’ Morning Tea, which raises funds for Daffodil Cottage to Thursday 29th May. We hope all our families and friends can join us on this day.
