I was so proud of the students representing Catherine McAuley at the cross country event in Coolah. A principal at another school contacted me to say that the Catherine McAuley girls were very kind, encouraging and considerate of not only each other but also of other competitors. Well done Rose, Poppy and Harriet.
A second event was an email I received from a parent from another school praising the actions of the Catherine McAuley boys in supporting a younger student who was being verbally abused by older boys. I am very proud of these boys for standing up for this younger boy.
A very proud principal!
Congratulations to the inter school chess competition winners - team Catherine McAuley - Oscar, Michael, Mason and Annabelle, overall winners. Senior champion Oscar and fifth place Michael.
Our lovely Year 2 teacher Miss Paradice and her husband have welcomed their first child, a gorgeous boy, Atticus. I am sure you will join me in congratulating them on this wonderful news.
On behalf of the school community, I would like to thank all of the Kindergarten parents who helped with the Mothers' Day stall and Mothers' Day Morning Tea. Both events were a tremendous success judging by both the strong attendance and the huge smiles.
Our Mother's Day liturgy was lovely as our Kindergarten students led us in thanking the mothers, grandmothers and other mother figures in the children's lives.
We were very excited to see our Ron back at the crossing - he has been missed!
If you have a child starting school next year, or know of any families who have a child starting school in 2026, please remind them to either pick up an enrolment form from our school office or download an enrolment form from our website. Information regarding our Kindergarten Orientation sessions is ready to be sent home so we are keen to have you on our mailing list.
Have a great fortnight!
