Division Cross Country

On Thursday, May 22nd, a group of 12 students from Years 4 to 6 travelled by bus to Werribee Racecourse to participate in the Hobsons Bay Division Cross Country.

In our Under 10s group, we had Claudia, Yanet, and Sajid running the 2 km, which was a little over one lap of the racetrack.

In our Under 11s, Dyudith and Ashton ran for the boys, and for the girls, we had Sophia, Aoife, and Sofia. In this age group, students are required to run 3km, which was one and a half laps of the track. 

Congratulations to Sofia, who finished 2nd in her race and will move on to the Western Metro Regional carnival.

For our Under 12s age group, Heidi and Afreen ran confidently, and so did Utkarsh and Tanish. All our runners should be extremely proud of completing the run. It isn’t easy running on a racetrack, but they all tried their very best and represented St. Martin de Porres Primary School really well.
