Learning

and Teaching

On Monday 2nd June, I had the privilege of joining Teaching and Learning Leaders from across the Diocese for a day of reflection, collaboration, and inspiration as part of the Magnify Sandhurst initiative. This initiative is guiding Catholic schools across our Diocese in delivering high-impact, evidence-based learning with consistency, fidelity, and rigour.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with other school leaders and ensure that here at St Mary’s, Rushworth, we are aligning our teaching practices and curriculum delivery with the same high standards seen across the Diocese. I’m proud to share that our school is tracking positively in this space, thanks to the commitment and professionalism of our dedicated teaching staff.

Currently, teachers are engaged in a thorough and thoughtful reporting process. They are drawing upon a range of evidence, including observations, assessment tasks, and student work samples, to ensure each report reflects a clear and authentic picture of every child’s learning journey.

When reports are sent home, we encourage you to celebrate your child’s growth and achievements, not only through the report itself but also in the rich learning they experience each and every day.
