3/4 CLASSROOM

This fortnight in the 3/4 room we have been looking at factual recounts. With today marking the end of reconciliation week we decided to do a factual recount about reconciliation week. We have learnt about the 1967 referendum, Mabo day and Sorry day. These are all significant events that help define reconciliation week. We will begin our new english unit on Friday based on the book 'finding our heart'.

In maths we have recently finished measurement and are at the beginning of data. Everyone did an excellent job converting between millimetres and centimetres as well as finding the area and perimeter of shapes.

In religion we have just finalised our unit on church and tradition. We finalised it with writing a letter to our future selves or to God identifying the fruits of the spirt that we encompass and the fruits that we need to work on.

We are beginning to wrap up our term which means we will be completing some assessments. Today we did the PAT reading assessment. I am pleased to share that every child has made improvements in their test scores compared with the end of last year. This is a really positive sign that our new magnify program is leading us in the right direction.
