Year twelve study space

This week marked an exciting milestone for our Year 12 students with the official opening of the Year 12 Study Space, now available exclusively for their use. Located in the newly refurbished Student Services Building, this former seminar room has been thoughtfully repurposed to support students during their study periods throughout the day and, more importantly, as a dedicated after-school study space.

Open from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, the Study Space provides a quiet and focused environment for students to revise, collaborate, and consolidate their learning. In addition to a conducive atmosphere, students have access to specialist support staff who can help unpack and explain complex topics covered in class.

The space is also equipped with a small fridge and kitchenette, allowing students to bring in tea, coffee, and snacks—making it not only a productive space but a comfortable one.

By combining the dedication and support of our staff with a well-designed, purpose-built environment, the Year 12 Study Space fosters peer-to-peer learning and encourages students to push each other to achieve their academic best in their final year.

Dreamtime Football

On Monday, we held our annual AFL Dreamtime football matches, a growing tradition that brings together our Clyde North and Cranbourne campuses in a spirit of respect and reconciliation. Though this event is only in its third year, it’s already clear how much pride our students take in representing their campus and wearing their specially designed Indigenous jumpers.

This year, Cranbourne hosted the Clyde North girls' team. While the match was hard-fought, the Cranbourne side proved too strong—taking advantage of the wind early to build a lead and maintaining control throughout the game in a commanding performance. There were standout efforts across the field, with several of our Year 10 and 11 students making a significant impact.

For the third consecutive year, the Best Player Award in the Girls' Dreamtime Match went to our Sports Captain, Lily Agnew. Lily delivered a dominant midfield performance, consistently winning ground balls, breaking through packs, and showcasing both determination and skill. She capped off her efforts with four crucial goals, highlighting her all-round excellence.

After the match, both teams came together for a sausage sizzle, generously provided by our Social Justice Team. It was a wonderful way to celebrate not just the game, but the unity and shared spirit that define our St Peter’s community.

Aths Carnival Monday

A friendly reminder to all families that our Cranbourne Campus Athletics Carnival is taking place this Monday at Casey Fields. It’s a day where we encourage every student to be present, whether they’re running, jumping, throwing, or simply cheering on their peers.

As a college, we take great pride in fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging. Events like our athletics carnival are not just about celebrating athletic ability—they’re about coming together as a St Peter’s College community, supporting one another, and enjoying the spirit of the day. Whether a student is competing or participating differently, everyone contributes to the sense of unity that defines our college.

In the years ahead, students often look back on days like this as some of the most memorable and joyful moments of their school experience. We encourage families to support full attendance and view this as a valuable part of student life—not a day to be missed.
