Principal's Report

Updates!

I hope all of you were able to enjoy some of the recent school holidays. I know Term 4 will fly by very quickly and soon we will be opening both campuses ready for the 2024 school year.  During the recent weeks I have continued to work with the Victorian Schools Building Authority (VSBA) on finalising everything from the signage across the campus; furniture and specialised equipment required for our specialised classrooms. Our small team is due to experience another site visit and hopefully then I can update you further on the progress of the buildings and share some further photographs.

Year 7 and 10 Family Information Evening

All families are invited to our Year 7 and Year 10 Family Information Evening on Tuesday 31 October at the school gym at Garrang Wilam Primary school. There are two sessions to choose from - you only have to attend ONE session, so choose what works best for you and your family. You will have the opportunity to hear about our College vision and curriculum plans for 2024. I will also be able to introduce to some of the excellent leaders and teachers we have recruited to support our students in our foundation year. We will also be distributing a folder of information in regards to uniform costs; booklists; own devices for students to bring for use; key policies e.g Mobile Phones and general school costs. You will also receive an email with the key information on how to book your seat. These bookings are so we can keep track of numbers. The key information is set out on the poster included below:

Public Transport - Buses

I know many families are keen to know more about the buses that will be running in the area that can take students to the College. I am aware that the Department of Transport and Planning have proposed some new services and these will start in January 2024. As soon as they share details with the College (which may not be until late November) we will pass the information onto you.
