VET Support.

What do you do? Why it is important? 

I assist students who select Tafe and apprenticeship pathways. I can help students deal with the many issues with moving from a school setting into work.

When did you move to the area? 

January 2023.

What schools have you worked at previously? 

Redlynch State College, Cairns

Why did you move here? 

Change of lifestyle. Experiencing four seasons and living near the snow.

Any differences between VIC students and QLD students?

 Students in Qld are more tanned! Besides that, they are mostly similar.

State of Origin – what’s your take? 

I support NSW. It seems QLDer’s take the game way too seriously, and it is fun to stir them up.

If you could invite any leader/manager of a company to talk at school, who would it be and why? 

Elon Musk. He has a unique view on the world, he is innovative and thinks outside the box. He also likes to joke around and troll people.

Are you a reader? What do you like to read?

 I read from time to time. My favourite series is the Jack West Novels by Matthew Riley. Fast paced adventure with historical links. I also like Dan Brown books and Harry Potter.

When you were in high school, what was your favourite year/class/teacher? Why?

 I enjoyed sport. I would try to represent the school is as many sports as possible, so I wasn’t stuck in class.

Favourite place to holiday? 

I like to travel and experience new things, so I don’t necessarily have a favourite place. Traveling overseas is an amazing experience, being immersed in different cultures. Australia also has a lot to offer, the country is so vast and diverse. Get out there and explore.
