Community

Last weekend’s springART event was such an extraordinary demonstration of Loreto community. From Friday night’s Opening Party, which saw many current and past parents and Old Scholar’s come together with other members of our Loreto community for a very fun night, to the Artist Panel on Saturday afternoon, through to the beautiful Community Mass and morning tea on Sunday, it was a time to connect, reconnect, and enjoy an impressive art exhibition. I truly had the most beautiful time and absolutely loved every minute of springART. After 40 years of springART, Loreto truly has built a reputation of supporting the Arts in South Australia, not to mention contributing many artists to the profession in the form of our Old Scholars.

Events such as springART are only made possible through the hard work and dedication of our parents. I would like to sincerely thank the following people who brought together what I think was the best springART exhibition to date in my time at Loreto.

Thank you to:

  • Curator and Loreto Artist in Residence - Marisha Matthews
  • Convenor - Tanya Smith
  • Committee Members
    • Eira Swaine (Sponsorship)
    • Gabrielle Leonello (Public Relations)
    • Stephanie Ockenden (Social Media)
    • Christina Fabbian (Loreto Advancement and Community Development Coordinator)

Many other Loreto parents (and past parents) also volunteered their time to hang artwork in the week preceding springART and also assisted in selling artwork across the weekend. Other parents (past and present) also supported the event through sponsorship, which was greatly appreciated.

Enrolment at Loreto 2024 and 2025

The good news is, our enrolments are continuing to grow, the bad news is, that we are getting close to being full in some year levels, particularly Year 7 and all year levels for Boarding! So, if you have a sibling that needs to enrol for 2024 or 2025, or you know someone who is planning to enrol their daughter, then it would be important to action this as soon as possible!
