Message from the Executive Principal 

It is World Teachers Day today! I would like to share the message of thanks that I sent to our whole team this morning. Please encourage your child to reach out and say thanks  - now or any time in the fuure.

Happy World Teachers Day!

Thank you for all that you have done for our students and school this year and for many years past.

Thanks for your work in the classroom, on the sporting field, in the yard, at your desk, at home in the evening, on the mountainside and every possible venue and time in between.

Teaching is one of the most critical, challenging, and impactful professions. The influence you have on students' lives is immense – sometimes evident immediately, but more often slowly over time as the lessons, experiences and care shown manifest in different ways. You instil critical life skills like problem-solving, empathy, self-confidence, and perseverance. You show immense patience. Your guidance and encouragement empower students to believe in themselves and achieve their full potential. The impact you have is immeasurable.

Our work at present is especially demanding, but you meet each day with passion, patience, and dedication. You put your students first and are committed to helping each one learn and grow. Even when faced with adversity, you rise to the challenge and show resilience in difficult times.

So, thank you for the long hours, limitless energy and care you devote each day. And thank you for helping nurture the next generation - our future leaders, innovators, parents and citizens. Thanks for all that you have contributed to our wonderful school and community.

Of course, our staff team are not all formally known as ‘teachers’, but we all have the same focus – providing the best educational opportunities and care for our students. So my thanks rightly extends to you all – teacher aides, admin staff, wellbeing specialists and all education support staff. It also includes our cleaners, canteen staff and others.
