Year 5 Camp at Wallaroo

Our Year 5 students recently had an amazing time at Wallaroo, making memories that will last a lifetime. The camp was a mix of excitement, teamwork, and learning enjoyed by an enthusiastic group of 60 students from across both our Brooklyn Park and South Plympton campuses.

Wallaroo's beautiful coastal setting provided the perfect backdrop for a range of exciting activities. The students loved orienteering, where they were able to explore and improve their navigation skills. The beach became a giant playground for fun beach games, where the students cheered each other on. Beach cricket was the most popular choice! Students also tried their hand at making Cornish Pastries, adding a tasty twist to their adventure. Participating in various sports and problem-solving games, enjoying the spirit of friendly competition and teamwork were a significant part of the camp experience.

As the day turned into night, they participated in an entertaining quiz night and talent show. The students showed off their knowledge and skills, making everyone proud.

A highlight on the final day was the visit to the Heritage Museum which included an interesting train ride through the copper mines in Moonta. Exploring history helped the students understand more about the region and its past.

Beyond the fun and excitement, the camp also helped the students to bond and make new friends. We're grateful to all the teachers and staff who made this camp possible. The Wallaroo adventure not only created lasting memories, but also taught valuable life lessons and sparked a love for learning and exploration.

Campus Development Update

Construction has begun on the final stages of the Brooklyn Park Campuses development, with completion set for the start of the 2024 school year.

Shade Structure

Our fantastic new shade structure will provide important year-round physical education space, protecting students from the elements. Drilling has commenced for the concrete footings for this large structure during the holiday. The structure itself is being manufactured offsite and will be installed during the Christmas holidays, in time for the new school year.

Office Space and Staff Room

Work has also begun on the new staff room and office spaces on the western side of the front office. The new layout will provide more desk and office space, storage, and facilities, creating a much more functional space for staff meetings and devotion times.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to improve our school, which is growing through the Lord's provision. We are excited to see these new spaces come to life and to provide our students and staff with the best possible learning and working environment.

Thank you for your patience as we navigate this stage of construction on campus.
