Role: Responsible for the maintenance and operation of the college network and computer systems. He can assist you with passwords, laptops, installing new hardware components and software applications and using COMPASS. He also maintains the register of all computer hardware.

Library Coordinator
Role: To ensure the effective daily operation of the school Library and its associated facilities. The library coordinator is also responsible for the social media, website uploads and maintenance.

Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
Facilitate student borrowing from the library catalogue
Follow up overdue books
Maintain the library catalogue
Open the Library for borrowing at lunch time as negotiated
Monitor the borrowing of school laptops
Ensure the correct number of laptops are returned
Report minor maintenances issues to IT Support
Maintain appropriate displays and presentations within the Library
Coordinate and promote external programs such as the Victorian Premiers Reading Challenge, Literacy Week, and the Short Story Writing Competition
Manage the college Facebook and Instagram accounts
Manage the college website

Careers (Senior)
Role: The role of the Careers (Senior) is to plan and implement a strategy for developing a careers programme for the school that prepares young people for the choices and transitions in education, training and employment.

Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
Assisting students with subject choices and tertiary course choices, application and selection procedures and provide information to parents.
Contributing to the career education programs / units in the College and relevant areas in VCE.
Keeping school staff and administration abreast of developments in post-secondary training and education and employment trends and contribute to cross-curriculum programs such as VET in schools.
Regularly informing the College community of careers activities such as Open Days, Industry Days, apprenticeship vacancies etc. via the Careers and College newsletters, school homepage.
Assisting other staff in:
Conducting industry visits, where appropriate
Conducting information nights for students and parents on careers topics
Contributing to local / regional or school-based careers nights / seminars
Encouraging students to participate in “Taster Days” and other such programs offered by industry organizations and tertiary institutions
Assisting students to find apprenticeships and traineeships different terminology
Contributing to counselling program with opportunities to:
Counsel Year 12 students with VTAC choices and other post-secondary options, and liaise with the VASS Co-ordinator
Counsel in groups or individually, for specialist areas of study in regard to career potential / outcomes
Counsel Year 10 students regarding choice of senior secondary program, subject choice, VET options and pathway options
Counsel Year 9 candidates for acceleration and their parents
Advise parents / guardians of options available to students (e.g. scholarships, study abroad, local, local Job Pathways Programs etc)
Assist with preparation of an annual budget and maintenance of appropriate records of expenditure
Attend a range of off-campus meetings and briefings through the year in school hours and out of hours, to maintain an appropriate knowledge base
Manage the annual Work experience program

Careers (7-10)/ VET Coordinator
Role: The role of the Careers (7-10)/VET Coordinator is to plan and implement a strategy for developing a careers programme for the school that prepares young people for the choices and transitions in education, training and employment.
Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
VET Coordinator duties
Oversee VET enrolments at Glenroy College
Oversee VET enrolments of internal and external students both from the Northern Melbourne VET Cluster (NMVC) Portal and other non-VET cluster schools.
Keep an up-to-date database, register and records of enrolments and withdrawals from program so that accurate MOUs can be provided to external schools,
Liaise with General Office, Program Leaders and Timetabler and cross check with Compass rolls to ensure the accuracy of VET enrolments and class lists for VET classes and qualifications.
Maintain a register of Glenroy College students attending external VET programs, oversee the MOU with that institution and liaise with the external RTO’s in relation to VET programs that Glenroy students attend.
Liaise with other schools and their VET Coordinators regarding their students coming to Glenroy College and sort out any issues they or the students may have. In the case of students exhibiting unacceptable behaviour liaise with the Principal team, notify home schools and organise behaviour agreements as appropriate.
Report any issues relating to Child Safety immediately to the Principal and make any notification to the relevant authorities as required by law.
Ensure attendance lists for external students are distributed promptly to other schools via the portals and directly via email to non-VET cluster schools. Follow up via email with the relevant Coordinator any student who has missed three consecutive VET classes and/or is at risk of non-completion.
Organise MOU with relevant schools and liaise with the Business Manager to ensure accurate invoices are sent.
Ensure other schools’ VET Coordinators are kept informed of developments, open days, costs etc and assist the college to grow its provision.
Organise student surveys to ascertain level of satisfaction with courses.
Attend VET Coordinators’ network meetings and relevant VET in-service as required.
Input assessments for all VET students on VASS and/or VETtrak and check the integrity of the data in conjunction with the VET RTO Manager.

Senior School Admin Support – VASS/VCE/Careers
Role: The Senior School Admin supports the facilitation of effective senior programs within the school.

Work with staff to produce applications for SEAS/ Derived scores. This includes explaining and producing documentation for staff and students.
Managing the partnerships applications alongside staff that have 4 or fewer students in Unit 3/4 classes
Managing the EAL enrolment applications alongside the EAL leader for permission for students to enrol in units 3/4 EAL class
Co-ordinate a classroom visits with teachers to explain to the students the VCAA process for year 10 -12 and what the VASS system is and why personal detail forms for students are filled in and added to the VASS system.
Produce Eligibility reports
Credit applications for students with accumulated credit
Organise exam folder with all relevant documentation for exams and supervisors
Arrange the setup of examination rooms with stationery requirements, special arrangements and other needs
Co-ordinate the VASS database which is the primary connection to VCAA
Co-ordinate and update details for VASS including, student and teacher rollover, subject selection, student enrolments, indicative grades and results
Ensure all VCE/VET enrolments, training plans and SWL’s are entered
Regularly update the VASS system including transferring students
Under the direction of the Assistant Principal organise the storage and distribution of exam papers before, during and after the exam Period.
Under the direction of the Careers advisor offer Career support – administration – providing support by entering TAFE applications for students
Manage Exemption process
Provide timelines and manage teachers in meeting the VCAA documentation requirements for both staff and students.

Role: The Laboratory Technician is responsible for science laboratory requirements such as supplies, equipment, preparation and setting up of practical sessions, maintaining chemical storage, handling and disposals, and assisting science staff with demonstrations and activities.

Role: Under the instruction/guidance of the Food Technology classroom teacher, this role provide support to the Food Technology learning program including ordering and preparing ingredients, maintaining specialist equipment and resources for demonstration or use by the students

Co-ordinate, organise and determine work priorities within a clearly defined functional area of Food Technology
To receive food order deliveries and arrange all food and equipment orders to ordering procedures for stock to be on hand for food classes
Complete online shopping and online orders
Organise and set up of all teacher demonstrations for practical classes
Ensure adherence to correct and safe food handling including storage, use by dates, hygiene practices of all food rooms
To remain up to date with all food handling and safety practices
Assist with ensuring OH&S regulations are in kitchens, and food studies rooms
Ensure work areas and materials, equipment and appliances are maintained in a clean and ready to use condition
Clean and restock the classroom, kitchen, store rooms and laundry and ensure all work benches are sanitised after each class
Co-ordinate and participate in cleaning the food learning spaces ensuring this occurs daily, weekly, end of term, semester and year
Assist with campus based extracurricular activities, such as sporting events, involving staff catering
Assist teaching staff within the food studies classroom as required

Role: Support Teachers work within school teams to assist classroom teachers and curriculum leaders to develop and effectively implement responses to students with learning needs across learning areas or subjects, with a focus on literacy and numeracy
Responsibilities include but are not restricted to the following:
Work within school teams and with students to improve student achievement.
Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for identified students to improve their learning outcomes, with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
Maintain teaching expertise and knowledge of evidence based, effective teaching practices to improve student achievement across the learning areas or subjects with a focus on literacy and numeracy.
Provide support to school teams and individual teachers in identifying patterns of achievement and selecting evidence based intervention strategies at whole school, cohort and individual student levels for underachieving students, including students with learning disabilities.
Support teachers in assessing and monitoring the progress of students underachieving in the literacy and numeracy demands of the learning areas or subjects.
In cooperation with the classroom teacher, teach whole classes, small groups and individuals as negotiated within the guidelines of the school improvement plan.
