Public Speaking

During the last week of term three the Public Speaking was conducted with events for all cohorts Year 7 to Year 10.  This is a College tradition dating back to the 1970s, so it is important we honour this legacy in contemporary times .All students had to prepare a speech in their classes and one representative of each was selected for the event.  Again, the standard was high, and it was not easy to separate the candidates.

Public Speaking also helps students prepare for their oral presentation and is vital in assisting them to develop confidence to perform in front of an audience. The university and work landscape now expects school leavers to be equipped to undertake public presentations in front of eclectic groups of people.
