ART

As well as all the fun outdoor activities and delicious food to eat at out our fair on the weekend, IPS also had an Art Show, representing a sample of all the work that the students have created this year. All the students, from Foundation to Grade 6, were very proud to have their work on display, showcasing their creativity, craftmanship and skill.  

The art teachers and Mr. Kent even got to choose their favourite and three students received an art prize for their outstanding pieces of art. 

They were Jina in 6P for her surreal collage, Ella from 4T for her Australian wild flowers and Wosi from FJ for her seahorse collage, congratulations Jina, Ella and Wosi!

Back in the artroom, the students in Grade 3 and 4 have been learning about Australian collage artist Laura Blythman. Laura is renowned for her bright use of colour and paper collages, and inspired by her Dreamscape series, they have painted their own paper in fluoro colours and created the most stunning landscapes.
