Tomorrow’s Leaders for Sustainability

Tuesday November 28 was our last TLfS session for this year; students enjoyed cooking and eating more salt bush chips, they used digging sticks to plant new plants and trees around the school and they practiced more of their weaving skills using karawun (lomandra) plants.

I’d like to take the time to thank Pascale from the Port Phillip Eco Centre for all her hard work and for sharing her cultural knowledge and the story and meaning behind the plants, seasons and Country. I’d also like to thank all of the students who participated in the program, they showed enthusiasm throughout all the sessions and have really put in so much effort into transforming our garden. Over the next few weeks, we look forward to finishing the mural and having it put up on display for everyone to view.

Curriculum Days

Last week’s curriculum days were busy spent cooking quesadilla’s, making and decorating shortbread biscuits, working in the garden, making bracelets and enjoying the beautiful sunshine!
