Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships in 2024
Do you know who your child’s 5 trusted adults are at school and at home?
In Term 1, during weeks 1-3, each year level will be completing Topic 6: Help Seeking as part of the government mandated Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships program. Teachers will not be creating PowerPoints for these lessons and these lessons will be incorporated into your child’s first 3 weeks of school in 2024. If you do not wish for your child to participate, please contact the school via email beaumaris.north.ps@education.vic.gov.au
TOPIC 6: HELP-SEEKING
Learning activities in this topic area are designed to help students discuss the importance of seeking help and providing peer support when dealing with problems that are too big to solve alone. This helps to normalise and de-stigmatise help-seeking behaviour. Scenario-based activities help students identify situations in which help should be sought, identify trusted sources of help, and practise seeking help from peers and adults.
