VCE VM & TSC

Year 10 VM Showcase Night

The Year 10 VM students all presented a project to their families and a wonderful celebration of their year in the VM program. They also ran activities including touring the wetland area, feeding our goats and two rounds of trivia. A huge thank you goes to Andrew Manning, James Siede, Justin Mason and Peter Zwiersen for attending the night and helping to run such as fabulous program for Year 10 students.

The Great Outdoors

The Year 10 VM group participated in “The Great Outdoors” unit where they developed camp cooking and hiking skills. We ran a practice cooking session at school and then visited Cape Schanck and Bushrangers Bay to cook on the beach and explore this magnificent part of God’s creation. The students did a great job cooking scrumptious meals and worked together well through this experience.

Community Garden Construction

The Year 11 VM students helped build new raised garden beds to start growing crops to sell at community markets to bless our school community with affordable organically grown produce. James Siede and I are excited about this fabulous program and the skills the students will develop in the future.

Bike Track Community Group

Year 7&8 students helped clear sections of the secondary bike track and then had the opportunity to ride with their friends. The students loved being outside on the North Campus and encouraged each other really well.

2023 VM Christmas Hamper Drive for Pantry Plus

The 2022 Christmas Hamper Drive was so successful with almost 30 hampers that we are running it again this year. These hampers will be sent to Peninsula City Church and they will distribute them through their Pantry Plus program and Somerville Primary for people in desperate need of practical support and compassion this Christmas.

It would be sensational if students could provide the following non-perishable goods for these hampers by Tuesday 28 November.

There will be drop-off boxes located around the College including the ELC and Reception. For Secondary students, homegroup teachers will collect these goods before the VM students pack them into Christmas boxes. Our VM students will also be making Christmas Cards with messages of hope and celebration for the families, who receive them. Thank you for your contribution, it is greatly appreciated.
