Year 4 Urban Gardening
Year 4 Gardening by Layla S and Bella M.
The Year 4’s have been working hard in the school’s veggie garden. We harvested some large potatoes and replanted the small potatoes to grow and thrive. A group of students were working on compost Bay 1. They shovelled the compost out and put it into buckets. The compost was put on top of the potatoes. The potatoes are growing nicely and they have been taken good care of by our Year 4’s.
The garden is amazing and we are looking forward to seeing the potatoes sprout.
Term 4 Gardening Reflection by Zahli A and Pia R 4B
Term 4 gardening was a blast!
We did lots of fun things this term. Like watering, weeding, shredding, planting and more.
Nearly everyone got a turn of making the announcement over the loudspeaker to remind every class to empty their compost bins.
We all got a turn at shredding and we all shared the jobs around. We all had so much fun participating in all jobs and helping the teachers. Everyone was super helpful to one another and we all got the job done. We took out the compost, watered the garden and worked together.
