School and Kindergarten Parents and Friends Association Meeting - Thursday 7th December  

The next PFA meeting will be Thursday 7th December at 9am in the Davey Building Conference Room (school administration building).  Please come along and share your ideas.  This will also be used a time for wrapping the Christmas Raffle.

Ballarat Carols - Volunteers Needed - Sunday 17th December 

As beneficiaries of SpringFest Ballarat, Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten need to provide the Ballarat Carols with volunteers.  We are now asking for volunteers to help out on Sunday 17th December from 10.30am-9pm in shifts. 

 

Volunteering for those who were unavailable to help with SpringFest would be greatly appreciated. 

 

Details:

  • Sunday 17th December
  • We will require volunteers from 10.30am-9pm in shifts 
  • No experience necessary – simply guiding people if they are looking for a particular area/toilet/lost, picking up rubbish/emptying bins

Shifts are:

  • 10.30am-2pm
  • 2pm-6pm
  • 6pm-9pm

Christmas Raffle - Donations needed please

Our Christmas Raffle is always a huge success with fantastic prizes donated from our community.  Prizes usually include but are not limited to toys, homewares, stationary, vouchers, movie passes, books and Christmas decorations. 

 

Please bring your donations into the office right up until the 7th December. 

 

The raffle is drawn during the end of year Presentation event on Thursday 14th December.

 

The PFA would like to take this opportunity to thank all the families at the school and kinder for your support of the fundraising activities that have occurred throughout the year. 

Second-hand Uniform Shop - Open every Friday from 2.45pm

The PFA will be running the Second-hand Uniform Shop on a weekly basis, every Friday from 2.45pm. All items can be purchased for a gold coin donation.  If you have any uniform items that are in good condition, you are welcome to bring these along to the shop on a Friday afternoon or can be dropped into the school administration office any time.

Cookbooks - Grow, Harvest, Prepare, Share - $5 per book

The Parents and Friends Association have produced a beautiful, full colour cookbook printed on luxurious high quality paper. This great book is sure to last a lifetime, making it a great memento from our school, kindergarten and community of Miners Rest. All recipes featured in the book have been tried and tested.  The cookbook will be selling for $5.

Student Display Books ***Special Discounted Price $10 each***

Through the PFA, we also have Student Display Folders for sale for $10 each. These are great for storing your child's reports, achievement certificates etc. Both the Display Folders and Cookbooks are available from the School General Office. 

School Lunches – Monday and Thursday through Quickcliq.com.au 

Lunches need to be ordered online through the website www.quickcliq.com.au.  Please note: sauce is provided in each classroom.  Some days, not all items are available or sell out quickly.  We recommend to try and order as early as possible, with orders closing at 8.15am on the day of delivery.
