PMPS End of Year Concert

The Details:

Our whole school end of year CONCERT will take place on Tuesday 19th December, at the NEW TIME of 9.30am and finishing by 11am (bell times will be adjusted if necessary). All students at school will be performing, so we hope you’re able to arrange your schedule to attend and join in the fun!

Like last year, the weather will dictate our concert venue – outside if fine, and inside the Gymnasium if not. Please keep an eye on Compass communications on Monday 18th December as that’s how and when we are likely to confirm details. We’re hoping to share our performances with an appreciative audience who will stay to celebrate them all. No tickets are required, just your presence! You may wish to bring a rug or low chair to sit on if the weather is fine and we’re outside.

Building the Stage - CAN YOU HELP?

If the weather cooperates and our concert can be held outside, we will build our performance stage on the day. It will be an early start at 7.30am!

Parents and students are welcome to assist; please put name/s and a phone contact number on this list.

We will move stage units from storage on the oval to the performance area, then link the units to create a safe, two-step choir stand.

(A stage will NOT be required if the concert is performed in the Gymnasium.)

Who is performing?

EVERYONE! All students at school on Tuesday 19th December will perform.

Students in Year Prep – 5 classes have selected a song to perform with their double classroom.

Prep A will perform as a single class.

Year 6 students will perform their Graduation Songs as one group, in what will be their final contribution to PMPS for most.

Costumes & Props:

Staff have been advised that there is no budget for this, so anything used will probably already be in your homes - simple and easy!

Students should come to school wearing their performance clothes on Concert Day. Classroom teachers will communicate any special needs to you so the performance looks ‘right’ – for example: students may be asked to: wear green and red; pin some tinsel on to a shirt; black ‘bottoms’* + a colourful top* …

Please remember that only school appropriate clothing items should be worn. Bare shoulders and mid-riffs are NOT acceptable school wear.

We look forward to celebrating a great year, the festive season and our entire school community at this event and hope you can join us.

Art Day!

Arts Day took place on Thursday 9th November, and many students and staff got into the spirit with some very creative costumes. The Arts Show was a wonderful opportunity to see the artistic talents of our creative students. What a visual feast! Classroom teachers shared arts activities with their students on the day, and an excellent time was had by all.

Many thanks to all students and staff who joined in the fun!
