Excellent results in the Australian Mathematics Competition 2024 

On Wednesday the 2nd August, the Australian Mathematics Competition was held for selected Grade 3, 4, 5 and 6  students. We were so pleased with the large number of entries this year and that many students had a growth mindset in Mathematics. I am proud of ALL the students who entered the competition but special mention must go to these students who achieved sensational results. 

These Grade 3 students received an excellent result of a Credit: Christo Sugantharaj, Luke Thomas, Kaiden Theophilus, Erin Chittuparambil, Zoe zaharopoulos, Brendan Chan, Tyler LI, Mathew Spooner, Aleisha McCallum, Ruben Azzam and Ariana Carydias

These Grade 4 students received an excellent result of a Credit: Audrey Dawson, Coran Beatty, Martin John, Kiasha Peiris, Kyan stone, Scarlett Woods, Alina Leo and Isabella Tra

Also, these Grade 6 received an excellent result of a Credit: Annabelle Eimermacher, Rory Stone, George Ishak, Angela Dimian, Nicolas Hau, Jeral Haj, Luke Spierings, Nathan Tissera, Lana Chiem and Meera Mohanathas. 

Furthermore, these students achieved an outstanding result of a Distinction: Shenaya De Mel, Matilda Eimermache, Emmett baker, Daniel Zhang and Christian Ghattas

A special mention must go to Noah Kavanagh who achieved a High Distinction, as well as won the ‘Best in School Award for St Simon’s’.
