Where our Year 12s went for Work Placement

- What are your main tasks? Fixing the wire, pruning vines, cut out weeds, drop-down wires, drilling in clips for wires.
- What hours do you work? 8 hrs 7am – 3pm.
- How many people do you work with? 1 lady and 2 backpackers.
- What is the best part of the work that you are doing? Learning new skills and knowledge about viticulture. Being allowed to do tasks independently in a working environment.
- What is your least favourite task and why? Pruning the vines is difficult if you are not confident and working with messy vines.
- Do you think that being at the Ag school has helped with the work that you are doing? Yes, as our prior learning has helped us do tasks in the vineyard.
- Why (what skills that you have learned have helped you – welding, auto, farm etc)? Fencing, pruning, driving machinery.
