Social Justice Market

Last Friday we held the Social Justice Market. This year we were fundraising money for the CFA by creating multiple stalls to raise money. We sold multiple foods and sweets, had many games and different services. We also had some guess how many lollies are in the jar which we will announce shortly. Our favourite highlight of the day was when Pat the teacher got his nails painted it made us all laugh. We hope you all enjoyed the market and had as much fun as we did!

Grade 5 excursion to the MCG

As you may know, the Grade Fives went on an excursion to the MCG last week to learn more about leadership and the qualities of a leader in preparation for our Leadership Day today.

After arriving, we experienced the ‘Game On’ section under the MCG that had a lot of fun activities and games relating to various sports.

We then had the opportunity to meet an Australian Olympian. We met an Olympic sailor named Carrie Smith to learn about her career and her challenges, of which she had many. She told us that hard work pays off and to always have a growth mindset no matter what!

We also visited the sports museum and got an amazing tour around the MCG. It was an amazing day overall and we’d like to thank all of the teachers and parent helpers that came along!
