Book Fair 2023

We're thrilled to share the exciting news that the Lamont's Book Fair was a resounding success, thanks to the incredible support of our school community! It was a joy to see so many of you exploring the wealth of quality, literacy-rich books available on the shelves during this event.

The commission raised from the book fair will be used to fill our library shelves with popular titles that will captivate and inspire all our students.

A big thank you to Mrs Douglas, Ms Harper and Mrs Waugh whose unwavering dedication and hard work over the past few weeks made this Book Fair a reality and a success, we are grateful for their tireless efforts.

Equally deserving of appreciation is our fantastic school community.  Your support and engagement in the CEPS Book Fair 2023 played a crucial role in its success.

Book Character Parade 2023

Oh, what fun we had on Tuesday morning. Our Book Character Parade was the best ever! It was wonderful to see the effort and creativity that students and their families put into the costumes this year. The staff all came as characters created by Beatrix Potter, and we even had a few Beatrix Potter’s present. There were lots of laughs and we appreciated the parents, carers and grandparents who came along to support and enjoy the parade with us. The children felt very special in their costumes, and it was lovely to see so many Grade Six students dressing up and celebrating their last Book Character Parade.

Grade Six students, Mikaela, Sydney, Declan and Saxon joined in as characters to help Mr Ridgway and Mrs Ward perform a short, Peter Rabbit play. It was a fun way to start our parade, and everyone was thoroughly entertained.

Grandparents and Special Friends Day

On Thursday we were delighted to have Grandparents and Special Friends visit our school. It is a wonderful opportunity for our students to share their school experiences with those who hold a special place in their hearts.  We've captured the magic of the day in a collection of heart-warming photos.  Thank you to Mrs Ward and Mr Ridgway who served tea/coffee and donuts.

2024 Foundation Transition - 'Meet Your Buddy'

On Tuesday the Year 5 students and the 2024 Foundation children participated in a buddy craft activity, building positive relationships, and working cooperatively. It was delightful to witness the genuine excitement of the students as they met each other and to see the kindness and care particularly from the Year 5 students. Their collaborative efforts resulted in a wonderful experience for all involved and they’re very excited for next year.
