Community Group Meeting:
As a number key parents were unable to attend Tuesday night’s meeting, it was cancelled and agenda postponed until next term. Next meeting: Tuesday October 3rd at 7pm. All welcome. Agenda and minutes can be found on PAM under the community group tab.
Pie Drive: 🥧🍞🥐
A huge Thank You to Baking Dough for doing our pie drive this year. We hope you enjoyed the delicious baked goods. Fundraising totals haven’t been tallied as yet, an update will be posted early next term. Thank to the parents who helped distribute pies on delivery, your time and effort doesn’t go unnoticed.
Fathers Day Breakfast:🍞🥓🍳
We hope all the Dads and Father figures felt celebrated on Sunday and last Wednesday for breakfast. Thank you to all the helpers/teachers who cooked and served breakfast.
A small way the Community Group could celebrate Fathers Day was to give each child a ticket into the raffle for a $20 Bunnings Voucher. One child per class was drawn at assembly, congratulations to the lucky dads who were drawn.
Family Dinner:
Raathika has organised a fun family dinner open to all St Lukes families at the Peppermill TONIGHT Friday 8th of September at 6pm. Tables booked near the playground. If you’re family can attend, it’s not too late to join in for dinner!
Soccer:
Congratulations to the U12s have made finals this weekend. It’s been a long time since St.Luke’s have been in a final. Come and cheer on the team at the Shepparton Precinct Soccer Fields, on Saturday 9th of September, Field 4 @ 12.30
Soccer Breakup: September 10th
U10s will be playing Gala Day all day on Saturday with U12s also having there Grand final at 12:30 pm Pitch 4. This is the first time in 7 years that a St Lukes U12s team has made the grand final. Please feel free to come along and support the students from that school. Soccer breakup is this Sunday. Please contact the soccer delegate or your team manager for more information
Netball:
Netball 2023 Wrap Up
We celebrated our end of season last Friday night.
Very casual presentation in the school auditorium with pizzas on hand.
Special thank you to our amazing coaches this year. Lil Kelly coached our Under 9’s and Dee
Duffy our Under 11’s. Their commitment and coaching knowledge far exceeded expectations. We are very grateful to have two amazing coaches. Thankyou for your support.
Special thank you also to team managers Cait Alletsee and Jasmine Zak. They both agreed parents support made their roles very easy this year. Congratulations to all players who got to take home a SNA medal and gift pack to say thank you for the effort they have put in for 2023. Special mention to Danika Daunt who assisted training on Thursdays.
As always, netball starts at the start of school term in 2024. Please keep a look out early in St Luke’s newsletters and other forums. We’d love to see a few more teams in our St Luke’s colours on the court next year.
Congratulations to Halle Duffy who after extensive trials has been selected in the SNA 2023 development squad. This will be an amazing opportunity for Halle and wish her all the best. Well done Halle.

Meals:
If you are in need of a meal due to illness, a new baby or your family is just having a tough time, please reach out.
Similarly if you have a meal we could pop in the freezer for a family, simply date and label with ingredients and drop at the office.
Bunnings Sausage Sizzle:
Save the date- Saturday October 7th multiple time slots available for cooking and serving. Information will come home next week.
