Endeavour House News

Endeavour House has been a busy place of late, with preparations for the Kingfisher Fair, a couple of birthdays, winter sports wrapping up, finals commencing and trials/selections for Basketball in full swing. Albany has seen some more sunshine recently and the girls are making the most of getting out and about, including a new trend being set by some to go walking/running at 6.00am.

Year Seven to Nine Social

Wednesday 23 August

Congratulations to all the girls who got into the school spirit by dressing up for the Neon-themed Social last week. I went across to catch the end of the event and memories of my own high school experience flooded back – all those fun, but sometimes awkward moments that these types of events create is what really makes high school memories. All in all, this was a great opportunity for the students to let their hair down and have some fun with their school peers. Thanks to Victoria Turnor, Head of Secondary, for hosting the event in the Hall.

Birthdays

We have had plenty of birthdays during August, happy birthday goes out to Esther Barrett-Lennard, Lexie Kershaw and Matilda (Tilly) Norrish.  Coincidently, Mrs Freeman shares her birthday with Tilly and happened to be on shift that night.  Many happy returns girls.

Endeavour House Print

After numerous attempts to get everyone in the same place at the same time, we now have an Endeavour House 2023 canvas print on display! Please check it out next time you're in.

Donations

Thank you kindly for the generosity of everyone who has donated items for the ‘The Darcy Effect’ fundraiser and the ‘Kingfisher Fair’ raffle. There is still room in both baskets, if you would like to donate.

Kingfisher Fair

Sunday 10 September

Endeavour House will be contributing to the Kingfisher Fair by receiving gold coin donations for facepainting, snap bands, glitter tattoos and temporary tattoo stickers. The girls are currently working on a roster where they will help run the stall, in 45-minute allotments. Those who are unable to attend and help on the day will be assisting me over the next week to prepare for the stall. Thank you to everyone who is helping to raise money for our beautiful school.

Women in Farming

Mrs Teliah Turrill and I will be attending the ‘Women in Farming’ Annual Seminar in Pingelly on Thursday 14 September. This will be my first time attending this event, and I am very much looking forward to representing GSG. Please come and say hello, if you see us there 😊

Good Luck Sienna

After three years, the time has come for us to say farewell to Sienna, a much-loved staff member of the Boarding community. I thank Sienna for the patience, kindness and love that she has shown to the Endeavour girls during her time here. I wish Sienna all the very best with her future career in the health care industry.

Endeavour House Staff

On that note, I have included a little graphic to celebrate the current Endeavour House staff. These wonderful people care for and guide your children through their boarding journey at Endeavour House. Each one is special and unique and all have so much to offer, we are so lucky to have them with us.

Best wishes as we rocket our way towards the Spring/Djilba holiday!
