Catholic Identity

If there is one word that we should never tire of repeating, it is this: dialogue. We are called to promote a culture of dialogue by every possible means and thus to rebuild the fabric of society.’

Godly Play ~

A teaching & learning strategy we use at St. Mel's to engage in Scripture is Godly Play. Godly Play is a way of making meaning through story, wonder, and play. It nurtures our spiritual lives by honoring the centrality, competency, and capacity of children. Below are some of the wondering & reflections for the Creation Story by our P/1/2 students.

Book Week Prayer ~

We thank God for our special books because:

Books help us to be calm

Books give us peace

Books give us love

Books help us to learn

Books help us to research

Books help us grow our mind

Books help us to be smart

Books teach us things

Books help us to read together

Books help us to read, grow & inspire!
